Here's the conversion for using butter powder: The conversion is 1 to 1. If you need 1 cup of butter add 1 cup of butter powder plus 1/4 cup water. For Spreadable Butter you can make honey butter: Spreadable Butter--for your bread Honey Butter 1 cup butter powder, 1 cup honey, ½ water, 1 c powder sugar, 1 t vanilla, Using wire whisk, beat ingredients until creamy. Powdered Butter for Baking- When used in baking add dry butter powder with dry ingredients. If the recipe calls for butter to be “creamed” with sugar as it does in many cookies recipes, add the butter powder, sugar, and water (just the water to rehydrate the butter) and cream that. It will NOT look right, but it will bake right. If the recipe calls for butter to be “cut in” as it does in many biscuit recipes. Just stir the butter powder into the dry ingredients with a wisk then add the water to rehydrate with the wet ingredients.

Wow I am really impressed with your clean and informative blog. I love how you are reviewing the food and giving tips. I love the butter powder, but never thought it could be spreadable. Great honey butter recipe, will have to try it with my Thrive butter powder. I love the SR cornbread recipe, it uses all shelf stable ingredients. I bet it would be super yummy with the honey butter.
